About the owner and founder:

With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and a Bachelor's degree in Education, Karina Carvalho is the owner and founder of Free To be Kidz Early Learning Center. She specializes in Early Childhood Education and Literacy, and has attended Reggio Emilia courses twice, visiting preschools across Italy, including in Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Milan, and Pistoia.

Karina's passion for teaching extends to mentoring educators, with a strong focus on continuing professional development both at her center and in previous schools. Her commitment to excellence in delivering a Reggio Emilia-inspired program led her to create Free To be Kidz — a space where curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning thrive.

Free To be Kidz is a unique, warm environment that sparks imagination and fosters a sense of wonder, not only for children but also for the educators who guide them.
