Karina Carvalho

Karina Carvalho founded Free to be Kidz to create a space where curiosity, creativity, and connection thrive.

With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and a Bachelor’s degree in Education, she has dedicated her career to supporting both children and educators.

Having studied the Reggio Emilia approach in Italy by visiting preschools in Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Milan, and Pistoia, Karina brings this child-centred philosophy to life. Her vision is a community where children explore, discover, and grow — and where teachers are inspired to learn alongside them.
